Groundhog Predicts Barrie Real Estate Early Spring

Apparently Wiarton Willie has predicted an early spring for Barrie Real Estate. I always thought we predicted the length of the winter based on whether the groundhog saw his/her shadow, but apparently there has been an upgrade and Wiarton Willie now speaks and interprets. Be that as it may it never did make much sense to me: 6 weeks of winter if the ground hog saw its shadow and how long if the groundhog did not. Beats me. Nevertheless winter lasts just as long as it does and spring comes when it is ready. Here in Barrie even the winter is a good time to buy a home.

People are thinking about the fall colours of central Ontario as the days are getting shorter. Thanksgiving will be upon us before we know it. Soon after the fall colours have hit the ground we will be waking up to snow. With the snow comes skiing. Barrie Ontario is one of the most unique places in Ontario. You are within minutes of several ski resorts, Horseshoe Valley, Snow Valley and Mount St. Louise Moonstone are just a couple of the options for skiers. Being a resident of the Horse shoe area I am able to ski at will. It is a normal day to finish work in Barrie, drive home, but on the way stop and have a few… runs that is, and then a 5 minute drive home.
There are many advantages to living in Ski country. The magnificent country vistas of rolling hills and deep valleys can transform your thoughts from work to pleasure within a moment. The other beauty of living this way is the great housing in ski country. Surprisinly houses are available at very economical prices in these areas. It is possible to purchase a home in Horseshoe Valley that would rival some of Toronto’s most prestigious homes, for a fraction of the cost. This is what some intuitive people have taken advantage of. Working in Toronto is still possible from this location by either driving a little over an hour to work or buying a small condo in Toronto and spending the odd night there. Really if you have a nice home in Toronto you could sell it, buy a home in ski country that would rival your old home in the city, buy a small condo in Toronto and still have money in the bank! And to boot a great relaxing life style… how good is that?
